Homeschool Resource Center

We are in the process of building a homeschool resource center. This will include catalogs, brochures, texts, and other materials useful to the homeschool parent teacher and children. Advice on how to make this a better resource is always welcome.

L.E.A.P. is Coming Back!

Literacy Education Assistance Pups – L.E.A.P.®-  is composed of a dedicated group of volunteers, based in Lewes, Delaware, who strive to increase the quality of reading education for the students in our community through the use of trained therapy dogs. The goal of the L.E.A.P. program is to improve the literacy skills of children, and grow their enthusiasm for reading, through the assistance of therapy dog teams as literacy mentors. The presence of a L.E.A.P. dog creates an inviting and motivating reading environment. Specifically, a L.E.A.P. dog is nonjudgmental, comfortable, and FUN!  Reading sessions can take place in local schools, libraries, and other settings.

Benefits of the L.E.A.P.® program:
• Children improve their reading skills in a unique and fun environment
• Children forget their limitations and develop a “can-do” attitude
• Tutoring is flexible and easy to implement
• Animals show how they can make a positive difference in children's lives
• Tutors provide individualized instruction

Fire Prevention Day

The Rehoboth Beach Public Library will be hosting along with Rehobht Beach Fire company, a fire prevention day! It will be held at 10:30 and is open to children of all ages. Please pre-register by calling 227-8044 or by visiting the library.

Toddler Tumbling Class

Halloween Party

The Rehoboth Beach Public Library will be hosting a fun Halloween party for the kids in the Children's Room on October 23, at 1:00 p.m. Join us for treats, stories, crafts, and activities. Please R.S.V.P. by calling 227-8044 or by visiting the library.

The Rehoboth Beach Public Library and Keenote Music have joined together to offer a family music celebration for all ages. This program will be held upstairs at the Rehoboth Beach Public Library. This program is free and we encourage children and parents to participate in this fun musical activity.
